Two new Rényi grants are available:
1. HUN-REN Alfréd Rényi Institute for Mathematical Research is announcing a call for applications for young researchers for a fixed-term position starting on September 1, 2026, for a period of two years.
We welcome applications for this position from young researchers (preferably graduates of Hungarian universities) who have a PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Mathematics Education, or who will defend their PhD dissertation by August 31, 2026, at the latest.
The deadline for submitting applications is March 31, 2025.

2. Rényi Institute is announcing a pre-doc call for applications for young researchers for a fixed-term position also starting on September 1, 2026, for a period of two years. The aim of the grant is to give an opportunity to PhD students – who have already completed their coursework, but have not defended their thesis yet – to complete and defend their dissertations.
For the position we are awaiting applications from young researchers (preferably graduates of Hungarian universities) who hold a degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Mathematics Education. Moreover, we require that they have completed their PhD coursework in their Mathematics PhD studies.
The deadline for submitting applications is also March 31, 2026.
