Winfried Kohnen (Universität Heidelberg): Modular forms of half-integral weight - old and new results

After recalling some basic and classical facts about modular forms of integral weight, I intend to discuss several topics in the theory of forms of half-integral weight. This will include Shimura correspondence, Waldspurger's theorem about critical $L$-values and some growth estimates for the Fourier coefficients (Ramanujan-Petersson conjecture). The talk will be meant for non-experts.
