Abstract:
The stability of so-called generalized ribosome flow models is studied using the CRN representation of the model and the well-known logarithmic Lyapunov function. Ribosome flow models known from the literature are generalized both in terms of structure and kinetics resulting in a quite general nonlinear compartmental model class. Stability of a wide range models (not necessarily mass action) can be shown, although the corresponding CRN is generally neither weakly reversible nor deficiency zero.
