Fabio Gironella (Rényi Institute): On the contact mapping class group

In this talk, we will focus on the study of the relations between the topologies of the space of contactomorphisms and that of diffeomorphisms. More precisely, after an introduction to the problem and to the known results, we will describe new examples of contactomorphisms of closed overtwisted (2n+1)-dimensional manifolds that are smoothly but not contact isotopic to the identity.
