Title: Space of subgroups and equational compactness
Abstract: Let G be a countable group and S(G) be the compact G-space of its space of subgroups. I will talk about various constructions of closed invariant subsets in S(G) related to the notion of equational compactness. EEE In particular, we construct continuum many pairwise incomparable generalized Bernoulli shifts associated to equationally compact subgroups. We also show that there exist equationally compact subgroups of arbitrarily large Cantor-Bendixson complexity in the space of subgroups. Joint work with Konrad Krolicki.
