Comparing solutions of a multidimensional problem is always a difficult task as the Pareto frontier -- the set of efficient solutions -- may contain many eligible points. Sum of Ranking Differences (SRD) is a novel statistical test that helps to resolve this issue by numerically assessing the tradeoffs between the solutions. In particular, the test allows the comparison of different solutions through a reference by first performing a rank transformation on the input, then calculating and comparing the distances between the solutions and the reference - the latter is measured in the L1 norm. In this introductory talk we will demonstrate how the SRD analysis is conducted and review the recently published rSRD software package for R.
For an interactive experience, the audience is encouraged to bring their own laptop with an RStudio installation. The following libraries/tools are needed to for rSRD:
Imports: Rcpp, dplyr, janitor, tibble, ggplot2, stringr, methods, rlang, ggrepel
Suggests: knitr, rmarkdown,testthat
SystemRequirements: C++20, Rtools (>= 4.2) for Windows
