Peeter Puusemp (Tallinn): On endomorphisms and endomorphism monoids of groups
and semigroups

Abstract:

In the first part of the talk, results on endomorphisms and endomorphism
monoids of groups will be presented. Main attention is turned to the question
of the determinability of groups by their endomorpism semigroups in the class
of all groups. In the second part of the talk, a short overview of results on
endomorphism monoids of semigroups will be given.
