- We recommend that The Templeton Foundation consider funding six experimental tuition and support scholarships to enable students from targeted low cost universities and non-North American universities to attend the Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Program.
- We recommend that The Templeton Foundation eight competitive fellowships to attract exceptionally talented foreign (non-Hungarian) students to attend a joint Masters Degree program offered by Eotvos Lorand University and the Renyi Institute (of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences).
- We recommend that The Templeton Foundation four competitive fellowships for Ph.D. candidates specializing in a field of mathematics supported by the Central European University in Budapest.
- We recommend that The Templeton Foundation a program that will enable the strongest undergraduate mathematics majors from the United States to spend a summer doing research in Budapest under the joint supervision of senior Hungarian and American research mathematicians.
- We recommend The Templeton Foundation fund a task force whose task is to find the funding for a stand-alone physical facility in the environs of Budapest with a building and grounds whose purpose is to serve as a center for mathematical activity of two types:
- Mathematical Research Conferences and small research groups
- Training of teachers and students in the Hungarian method.
- We recommend that The Templeton Foundation investigate how the Budapest Semesters in Mathematics Program has effected the alumni of that program, the undergraduate teaching of mathematics in the United States and the community of research mathematicians in academia and outside of academia.
