ALL WELCOME!  (and munchies as usual)
Professors JENNIFER CHAYES and CHRISTIAN BORGS are wife and husband, co-founders and co-heads of the Theory Group at Microsoft Research. Their (joint) research interest  is at the interface of mathematics, physics, and theoretical computer science.  Currently, their main interests include phase transitions and finite-size scaling in combinatorics and theoretical computer science, graph theory and game theory of networks, including the spread of viruses on networks, mixing times for Monte Carlo Markov chains, and zeros of complex partition functions and graph polynomials, the mathematical theory of first order phase transitions in statistical physics.
